Pughouse Studios is a recording studio run by a musician, for musicians.
The studio is located in Thornbury in northern Melbourne, close to the creative hubs of Brunswick, Preston, Northcote and Coburg.
Our services range from full production including audio and video recording, to mixing and mastering. We have the tools and knowledge to help you achieve the sound you’re looking for. Whether you’re an established artist or just getting started, we’ll help you take your music to the next level.
At Pughouse Studios you will work with a musician-engineer of over 40 years experience on both sides of the control room window. The studio is equipped with a grand piano and a large selection of drum kits, making it ideal for recording music of all genres. Listen to tracks produced here.

We can give the final touch to your tracks, whether produced here, at home or in another studio.

We can record your session in Full HD with up to 4 cameras, ready for post production or Live Streaming through our BlackMagic ATEM pro switcher. See some videos from our sessions here

Free of Covid-19 symptoms

Wear masks whenever possible and feasible

Undertake a RAT in the studio before the session. We have RATs in the studio and are happy to supply.
Client health & safety is important to us and we adhere to all government regulations regarding social distancing, wearing of masks and surface disinfection. In addition we have installed a hospital grade air disinfection system in our airconditioning. You can read more about our UVC disinfection system here.
